Dooryard bought 188 Lincoln Street from the City of Lewiston, saving the 1960s fire station from demolition. We assembled a team to restore the two-story mid-century modern building into two market-rate apartments upstairs and ground-floor commercial space, including artist studios and offices.
The project used state and federal historic tax credits. CEI was the partner on the state credits, and a private business owner took the federal credits. Grants from the City of Lewiston funded the life safety and facade work.
