Dooryard bought 60 Lowell Street in 2020. The 64,000 sf mill sits in the heart of downtown Rumford. Earlier non-profit owners had renovated a floor and a half as office space, and Dooryard has run the building since, replacing the roof, upgrading to LED lighting and improving accessibility.

We're redeveloping the mill's remaining 2.5 vacant floors into The Marjorie, a 65-key boutique hotel with a restaurant, pool and arcade space. The project is a historic rehabilitation using historic tax credits, in a building connected on three sides to Rumford's active paper mill. The hotel will support Rumford's outdoor recreation economy and diversify the tax base of this changing mill town.
